New to Yoga?
You have come to the right place!

We are SO EXCITED that you’re choosing to begin a yoga  journey with Yoga Krewe. Even if you have been to a yoga class before, starting classes in a new studio is a new beginning. Here are a couple of tips to get you started…

 

First, to be ready for class:

  • Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in. Barefoot is best.

  • Bring a yoga mat, or rent one of ours. ($1)

  • Arrive a few minutes early to check in and settle in. Classes begin promptly.

Make sure to speak with the teacher if you have any injuries or concerns about weak areas in your body. They will help you make modifications so your practice is safe, and right for you. Once you’re on your mat, you can relax. Our skilled teachers will guide you every step of the way. During class, if you feel fatigued, feel free to rest. There is no judgement here - it’s your practice. Once the class is over, you are welcome to ask questions or share feedback with your instructor.

 

Ideally, after class you will feel energized, yet calm and balanced. Honor yourself for making it to the mat. Drink lots of water and be mindful of how your body feels. If you have questions, we are here for you. Please reach out to us.
