RESTORATIVE YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
WITH LOREN FARESE WEDNESDAYS IN MAY
JOIN YOGA KREWE TEACHER AND TRAINER LOREN FARESE FOR A MONTH LONG EXPLORATION OF RESTORATIVE YOGA PRACTICES.
In this busy, stressful, sometimes overwhelming world, the need for inner balance is more important than ever. With the help of restorative practices we can balance the turmoil, distraction, and fast-paced expectations of our lives. This is a month long experience designed to encourage each practitioner to seek balance in their own practice as well as with their students.
WHAT WE WILL COVER:
In our first week we will cultivate a basic understanding of the nervous system, as well as the various needs and value of restorative practices. This will lay the foundation for more nuanced exploration into:
● Restorative Yoga poses families and individual poses
● Pranayama (breathwork)
● Gentle restorative movement
● The 5 body Kosha model
● Sequencing and the role of the teacher
● Teaching practice
As a group, each week we will focus on a different family of yoga asana. We will also learn and practice a new pranayama technique, as well as certain gentle and restorative movements. The final week will be reserved for teaching practice.
During the time in between our meetings light practice and home-study will be encouraged and supported. At the end of our month together, new habits around restorative practices will feel integrated, and the practitioner will leave with more tools in their restorative toolbox to use for themselves and/or their students. Bringing balance to our inner worlds can pave the way for bringing balance to our communities, families, friends, and the world around us.
